Staffordshire Account Access and Recovery

If you experience any difficulties accessing your Staffordshire University account, you must raise a support ticket directly through the Staffordshire support portal, as the APIIT IT team does not manage Staffordshire University accounts.
This includes, but is not limited to, the following issues:

• Authenticator app issues: The Microsoft Authenticator app is not working, or you are unable to complete the authentication process.
• Password reset issues: You do not receive the password reset email in your APIIT email account.
• Lost access to your phone: You no longer have access to the mobile number registered to your account.
• Authenticator access issues: You have lost access to your registered authenticator app or are unable to approve sign-in requests.
• Other account access issues: You are unable to sign in to your Staffordshire University account for any other reason.

Steps To Recover Your Account

Please follow the steps provided in this guide to request assistance with recovering your account through the Staffordshire support portal.

1. Visit: https://solve.staffs.ac.uk

2. Click "Create an external user account"
Enter your personal email address (Do NOT use APIIT/Staffordshire email)
Enter your name and click Submit

3. Check your personal email and click the activation link
Set a password and complete the account setup

4. Go back to the login page and sign in as an External User

5. Click "Report an Issue" → IT Issue

6. From the 2 dropdowns, Select:

Access, Account & Security - on 1st drop down
MFA - on second dropdown

7. Fill in the form: for Example

Summary: Unable to access account – Authenticator issue

Details: Request to reset authentication. (Make sure to Include follwoing details as well)

Staffordshire Email
APIIT Email
SU Number
Phone Number
Postal Code
Date of Birth

Click Submit
